The Hand of Fatima is a protective amulet whose origin comes from the Arab world, as a symbol of virtue, patience and faithfulness. A Hand of Fatima can have from three to seven fingers, but the most common down through the centuries is the five-fingered version, the number of good luck in the Islamic world. It is usually hung over the front door of a house to protect it against negative influences. This is one of the two versions made by Lladró. It can be hung using the pink ribbon which also bears the Lladró logotype.
